and we were on opposite sides of the world, knitting seemed like the only thing I could do for K & N.

how beautiful hanen, what a thoughtful thing to do, they are lucky they have you. i once tried knitting a scarf and accidently cast on 200 stitches thinking that sounded like enough.......three years later it turned into a skirt and then a cat blanket, full of holes but my black cat loved it it was massive . thanks for dropping by my blog . hope you are doing ok xxx anne
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful gift. Your last post, too, such gorgeous writing. I think of you often.
ReplyDeletethanks anne - LOVE the story of your scarf / skirt / catblanket! Knitting can have such a funny life of its own.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in ICU / Trauma, my BFF sat in the room knitting, and then once I'd come home, presented me with the socks that were the product of all that knitting. Poor socks don't get enough washing because I love them so much and they give so much comfort when things are hard. Thanks for your thoughts - you can probably tell by increased frequency of blogging that things are feeling lighter than they have for a while - yay for that. xxxxh
Schro - thank you, you are lovely! Thinking of you too, and cheering on your little passenger. xxxh
