"Edited to Add"....

This started as a pregnancy blog when I fell pregnant in May 2009 after four years of finding a donor, doing all the counselling / paperwork / tests and trying.

And now, thanks to a 4WD which skidded onto our side of the road, killing our baby daughter at 34w and injuring me, my partner and two of my stepdaughters on 27 December 2009, it has turned into something else. We didn't want this something else, but apparently it is all we've got to go on with.

19 week photos


I'll have you know that the moment after el prima took this photo, Moya (the cat) bit my elbow. I guess he doesn't enjoy flash photography.

    What wonderful belly shots! I don't know what you've been doing, but you are doing it very well cuz you look great.
    Keep track of that camera--you're going to need it alot in about 20 weeks!

    I love that Moya looks so small in comparison to my belly - I've dwarfed him! And he's actually quite a substantial size cat.

    Thanks Suze! I felt a bit confused when my belly button popped. I hadn't realised that having an innie was so integral to my identity!
